STEP Network has developed RE-AD (Responsible Advertising) – an ad format created to deliver better performance, a better user experience and greater exclusivity for the advertiser. RE-AD differs from traditional solutions by creating one-on-one time with the user. The ad is displayed in a clean, undisturbed environment where the message gets full attention. The format is also finance-approved and meets all technical and brand requirements for responsible advertising. To document the effect, we tested the RE-AD format in campaigns for Elgiganten and Matas. The purpose was to compare performance and user experience with standard setups across Skin and Midscroll formats.
These results show that RE-AD not only improves engagement significantly – it also increases the visibility and value of every single ad impression.

On Elgiganten's campaigns, the following was measured: 17% faster ad request time 15% faster tag load time 7% higher viewability Fewer cases of the user scrolling past the ad before it loads These improvements support the purpose of RE-AD: to create more effective ads – and a more user-friendly ad experience.

7% higher viewability
Fewer scroll losses
Conclusion RE-AD shows that responsible and effective advertising can go hand in hand. The format creates measurable performance improvements, gives advertisers exclusive exposure and ensures a more user-friendly ad experience.
With RE-AD, advertisers like Elgiganten and Matas get both better results and more quality time with the user.
